3D & DESIGN EXPERIENCE
Graphic Artist, Dignitas Technologies, Orlando, FL 1/2020 to Present
Used Maya for hard surface modeling and animation of naval equipment for a Maintenance Training System, a Unity application. Worked with a team to develop the models using photos or CAD data as references. I created Mel/Python Scripts to aid the modeling process.
Graphic Designer, Kratos Defense and Security, Orlando, FL 4/2018 to 12/2019
Used 3dsMax for hard surface modeling and animation of aircraft equipment and parts for the KC-46 Tanker Maintenance Training System, an application done in Unity. Worked with instructional designers to create the required parts either using photos and/or CAD data as references. Reviewed in Unity co-workers models and animations before integrations.
Character Artist, EA Madden‐Artworks, Orlando, FL 2/2017 to 2/2018
Used Maya and Photoshop to update existing models and textures to match NFL and its sponsor’s current designs. Modeled new player gear for Madden 18 using Maya. Modeled and textured assets’ facial features to match likeness of multiple players and coaches using ZBrush.
Broadcast / Motion Graphics Artist, EA Madden‐Artworks, Orlando, FL 11/2015 to 11/2016
Modeled, shaded, rendered, animated, and composed NFL and EA property logos for Madden17 based on visual targets. Developed a pipeline to allow rapid modelling of the logos in Cinema4D, rendering and shading in Maya, and animating glass power‐on effect and LED pulsating background in After Effects. Developed mock up designs for MUT cards and MUT reveals in After Effects, using Element3D, Particular, and Optical Flares. Designed and created broadcast animations for awards given to players for skills earned; loading screens, like Franchise mode; and transition screens, like purchasing skills. Provided assets to different artists, as well as, reused and updated assets from other artists. Worked closely with UI/UX designers and game developers to provide game‐ready assets.
Supported the character artist team by updating glove textures and geometry; updating illustrator art sheets used in the game; and updating and creating textures for coaches’ outfits for different game themes, with developer support. For Madden Patch 1, overviewed the outsourcing of new coach clothing for the game, including subjective reviews of body proportions; technical review of assets structures and quality; getting assets game‐ready; and implementing assets in the game. Developed different Maya and Photoshop scripts to effectively and quickly identify and correct errors in assets.
3D Animator, Pixeldust Studios, Bethesda, MD 11/2014 to 07/2015
Design and create VFX in Maya. Model, texture, light, animate, and compose highly detailed and photorealistic models for motion graphic animations for promotional videos and television shows. Ensure assets and environments use the appropriate shaders and that their properties are turned to match the requested style. Create, develop and compose complete shots and scenes that maintain consistency, color balance, and mood with the rest of the shots in a project. Design and develop different graphic styles for motion graphics. Improve the geometry of existing model assets. Interact directly with client or subject matter experts to understand the function of the object being modeled or animated. Develop storyboards based on voiceovers or client requests. Compose color correct, create 3D layers, and use plugins for VFX in After Effects for 2D shots with a 3D feel.
